This year’s Women in PC Gaming conference is coming to a close, and we’ve got all the details you need to know about what’s going on.
The conference kicks off on Thursday, September 14th at 8:00 PM EST with a keynote from Dr. Katie Salen of Riot Games. The event will be streamed live on the official website, and we’ll have transcripts available shortly after the event concludes.
Throughout the weekend, there are numerous events happening including a masterclass with Leigh Alexander of Gamasutra and talks from developers like Gigi Gallo of Boss Key Productions and Brianna Wu of Giant Spacekat. There’s also an exhibitor hall where you can find out more about upcoming games from major studios like DICE, BioWare, Volition, 505 Games, and many more.

The World Perl Conference (WPC) is the largest gathering of perl enthusiasts in the world. Held every year in a different city, this year’s event will be held from October 12-15th in San Francisco, California. This year’s conference will have a focus on web development, with over 70% of the conference content dedicated to that topic.

How much: Conference attendance is free for WPC members, and there are a variety of ticket options available if you’re not a member. Prices start at $499 for a single-day pass and go up to $2,599 for a three-day pass. You can also buy tickets through Eventbrite.
What’s included: Members of the World Photographers’ Convention (WPC) receive complimentary admission to the event. Non-members can purchase tickets at a discounted rate or through Eventbrite. All attendees receive access to all seminars, workshops, receptions and other events that take place at the event.
